This collection of Reconstruction era sermons beautifully presents a liberal Christian faith that still speaks to us in modern times but often gets drowned out by the shouts of fanatics. This Unitarian gospel truly is good news, that one can still have faith in a higher power and a higher purpose without being required to believe the unbelievable, turn a blind eye to science, or condemn countless billions to torment. There are a few typos in the Kindle edition but these do not distract from the content. Recommended.

Our Unitarian Gospel Minot Judson Savage 9781374969810 Books Reviews
Super small print. Its like reading the fine print of a contract with the devil. I would not have purchased had I known.
I had no idea there this is what you called what I believed!! I have thought this way for the longest (since I was a child) and had no idea there was a name for it. The Lord said I would find it if I searched long enough and I have.
Now it is time to find more information!!! Enjoy!!
I was impressed by this book in that it was written SO long ago yet the points made are so clearly relevant to any age. Plain-spoken and punctuated with clear facts to justify his opinions. I'm not a Unitarian, but this is a great book to learn more about that faith.
There were some typos and errors in sentence formation when this book was transferred into kindle form, however it did not significantly distract from reading this book. This was an excellent read and I am grateful to the volunteers that created this kindle book.
I have read roughly 150 book pages each day for the last ten years. Fiction, non-fiction. All genres. Famous and obscure authors. Mostly highly regarded publishers.
I can say without hesitation, this is one of the most thoughtful, enlightening books I've ever read. I'm no religionists; far from it. But I strongly suspect I am now a believer. This book has changed my worldview and I intend to learn more about Unitarianism. Join me!
This is a series of sermons delivered by the author in the 1897-8 liturgical season. Apparently these are transcripts of the sermons, but they are still quite readable. This is from the point of view of a Unitarian who still believed in the miracles of the Bible, but who wanted to refute the "hellfire and brimstone" mentality of the evangelical movement. He makes a good case for why Unitarianism is more "evangelical", i.e., good news, than the evangelical movement.
It's fascinating that this book was written so long ago, and yet still speaks to a modern audience. It's relevant, interesting, and helps me articulate what I already know to be true - God is loving, and strong, not cruel or weak. And what follows from that premise is wonderful and rational. There are a few typographical issues in the edition, but they certainly don't detract from the readabilty of the book. If you're a Unitarian, or interested in the religion, this is a great book.
